Yin Yoga for Sleep Improvement | Session 3
Yin means coming inwards, integrating, moving downwards and consolidation. Sleep is one of the three key Yin functions in the body. It is very important for all of us to get a high quality sleep, because according to Chinese Medicine, it is a Yin-Yang switch. It is from sleep that all Yang energy gets replenished and we can start afresh the next day.
Therefore, understanding the energy cycle from three Yang to three Yin, will help us to access the relative strength of our organs that prevent us from sleeping well. Yang is an opening cycle and Yin is the closing cycle. When Yang cannot completely open, Yin will not be able to close. Therefore, it is important for us to examine what causes jam to this mechanism.
